Heeelllllllooooooooooo EVERYONE!!!!!

So......Im officially a Cape Tonian! :) YaY!!!

I thought I'd give you guys a lil' update and so here it goes...

I drove down with Jarrod on the 26th of December. We drove for 15 hours and hardly stopped-CRAZINESS!!! Ha ha I think I took the next three days to recover! :P Our plan was to get back at a decent time so that we could say our "hello's" and unpack the car etc. The drive went really quickly actually, but I think the company makes everything better though. Had such great fun on our road trip! :D Oh and for all the romantic types out there, Jarrod organised roses to be put all over my room+in my bathroom-it was beautiful! :D

I am still unpacking and sorting through everything and my room is really starting to become "my own". I like having a space of my own! :) Ha ha- funny story- during my unpacking the next day after arrival Jarrod, Sarah(J's sister) and I were all figuring out where things should go and hanging a mirror+packing my closet and Jon+Campbell decide to "help" by lying on my bed and making funny comments!ha ha :) Good times! :)
Its been fun decorating and I have had some time to do some drawing. Getting my creative juices flowing! :)
I went shopping the other day and walked the whole mall-still learning it so I don't quite know where everything is yet, but I'm getting there! :D

I am pretty impressed with myself because I know my way around Somerset West pretty well already! :)

It does still feel a bit like I'm on holiday with the convenience of all my "STUFF" being here... Im sure that the reality of my move will hit me sometime soon! :)

Missing family+friends but so excited to make new friends this side! :)

So on Saturday I went out with some of my really wonderful close friends: Ash, Robs,Jess and Kerryn. They are such beauties- inside+out! They are really such a blessing to me and I appreciate them SO much!!! :)
Anyways, we went to this little Cafe-Ash wanted to spoil us with its wonderful-ness! :)

So, tonight a few of my friends(Kyle,Kirst,Nix,Andy+Amanda) and I decided to head off to check out this place! It was really REALLY cool! :D Since I'm moving to Somerset West,Cape Town really soon I felt super homesick from the moment I walked in here...it has a serious Cape Town vibe! They have live music, mis-matched furniture ,random artwork and shelves filled with interesting jewelry, magazines, cd's and much more! They serve a few things to eat for breakfast and lunch/ a light dinner and they have OH-SO-WoNDeRFuL cakes, cupcakes and cookies! YuM YUM!!! :) I had to try their red velvet cupcake-it just looked too delectable to not try! :P Hee hee...it fulfilled the yearning! :)
They had an opening act and a main performer! It was a super chilled evening!We played some UNO and 30 Seconds and had a great, random couple join us and it turned out to be lots of fun!

I'm adding some pics that I took of the decor, people and also some of the jewelry I bought! :D I would definately recommend this place to anyone who is keen to hit a spot that's super chilled with great music and people!

Gallavanting in the Western Cape :)

So on my latest visit to Cape Town, I have made it my mission to go adventuring around my soon-to-be new home with my friends and my wonderful boyfriend! I'm going to be moving to Somerset West on the 27th December-Yay!!! :) So adventuring around Stellenbosch and Somerset West has been what this holiday is all about! :) Getting to know my new home and find awesome lil spots that I LOVE and that Jarrod and I can frequent every now and then!(as well as my friends)

So to let u in on an awesome lil place that we found today... Cafe Creme in Stellies. The food is AMAZING!!! Seriously...it was just "heaven in our mouths" ha ha...we had lunch there: J had a smoked chicken, bacon, chillis and tomato salad and I had their Spinach, feta and bacon sandwich on wholewheat bread with a lil salad+hand cut chips! Then for dessert we shared a slice of their cheesecake and chocolate cake which were just beautiful!!! Yum yum...I would really suggest that you check this place out when you're in town! :D The atmosphere is great and the look of the lil cafe is very homey, comfortable, cottagey and I love the chalk boards strewn all over the walls of the cafe! J and I were seriously impressed and we will definately be back there soon soon! :)
